Giving:

Hundreds of children regularly attend academic and Sunday school classes sponsored through the churches of New Hope Missions International in northern Haiti. Many of them have never received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We have recently networked with an organization in Canada that produces high quality Bible evangelism and discipleship materials in the Haitian Creole language. A Good News evangelism flip chart with accompanying teachers booklet and audio cassette tape can be purchased and sent to Haiti for $19.00. For just $45.00, an entire Creation to the Early Church discipleship series, including 8 student booklets and accompanying audio cassettes , can be placed in the hands of these dear children. The Need  

To visit Haiti is to be confronted with the harsh reality of thousands of children left orphaned, abandoned and neglected by circumstances over which they have no control. The child sponsorship program of His Heart Ministries was created as a branch of New Hope Missions International, to respond to this pressing need with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.

 Program Goals  

There are three primary goals for the child sponsorship program:

• Place each child in a healthy family environment where they will be nurtured and cared for. In circumstances where one or both of the natural parents are still living, sponsorship can help to preserve the family unit and provide for the needs of other children in the home. In other situations, a responsible relative or guardian provides for the child with the help of sponsorship funds.

• Associate the love and help the child and their host family receives with the local Haitian church. Our heart's desire is for the children and their host families to see this provision as coming from the Lord, through the body of Christ.

• Provide accountability for all donations given to the program. 100% of all donations go directly to the needs of the sponsored child and their host family.

The Process  

Participants are asked to make a one year commitment of $30.00 per month to sponsor a needy child. $25.00 of this amount goes directly to the host family to provide food, clothing and shelter for the sponsored child, while contributing to the overall stability of the home environment. The remaining $5.00 is used for educational expenses of the child at a Mission school operated by the local church. Sponsorships are renewable and a tax deductible receipt will be given for all donations.
